Rose by Quinn Rol

Intense jubilation,

Lovely temptation,

Reach out and touch it,

Awful sensation,

Pain more deep,

No thorn should reap,

This much pain,

Your heart it keeps,

Takes it away,

Makes you pay,

Every single day,

Under the pressure you sway,

And faint eyes fluttering,

Immense sadness,

Leaves you shuddering,

Trust betrayed,

As if by a blade,

Sinking into your chest,

Leaving nothing but shade,

You connect with the storms,

Understand the snow,

You take pity on the swarms,

Of ice that blow,

Seeming full of sorrow,

Crying out for help,

They'll be gone tomorrow,

Leaving with a dry yelp,

The hurt will heal,

Sometime in the Spring,

When more Roses blossom,

And more chirping birds sing,

Knowing the risk,

Grasp the stem,

Poets are stupid,

Don't listen to them,

Take the chance,

Some thorns may be small,

Even if the Rose stands tall,

Don't let it fall,

Grab a hold,

Don't let go,

Just let grow,

Until the next snow.
